Hairy Larry

Hi,

I'm Hairy Larry, webmaster at Delta Boogie and the Delta Boogie Network. I'm here to help you promote your act. Please create an account for your band and/or create an account for yourself whether you're a musician or a fan. Everyone is welcome.

If you have any questions you can email me or message me.

I'm a music student at ASU. I write songs and Jazz charts for small groups and big bands. I perform with many groups and solo. If you want to see me play around Jonesboro, Arkansas look for The Swing Band Project or Hairy Larry and George.

I'm the host of Something Blue, 10:00 pm every Saturday night on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org. I record many bands for Something Blue and I also feature recordings from the Live Music Archive at archive.org.

You can find me at the Craighead Forest Bandshell during our Sunday In The Park festival in May and June as well as Blues Fest in September. I also try to attend all the KASU Jazz and Blues events including the Bebopalooza! Jazz Festival that is sponsored by KASU and the ASU Music Department.

I record original music by Delta musicians on my indie label, HairyLarryLand.

You can also find me on twitter and facebook. Let's get together and jam.

Thanks and stay in touch,

Flying Hungarians

Hairy Larry and The Flying Hungarians have been jamming in Northeast Arkansas for the last 30 years. A jam band that loves to party I think most musicians around here have played with us at one time or another. We are the Blues Fest host band and while we don't get to play as often as we used to we do try to play at Sunday In The Park or Blues Fest every year.

Personnel:

Hairy Larry - guitar, harmonica, vocals

Carl Heyl - bass, vocals

Kier Heyl - drums, vocals

Randy Gambill - drums, vocals

Gretchen Hunt - vocals

Megan Heyl - vocals

So as you can see it's a family band. Nothing better in the whole wide world.
